My interests are detailed observations of selected lunar features, especially lunar domes
Photographing the moon using my Meade ETX and Televue Ranger telescopes. Experimenting with black and white photography through various colour filters to try to enhance the albedo variations on the moon's surface, sometimes attributed to subtle effects of "colour" distinquished by various lunar observers

My interest in astronomy began during the Voyager mission to Saturn. I was astounded by the pictures being returned and wanted to see what I could in the night sky for myself.
My main interests have been in the observation of the moon and planets; my first serious observations of the moon, especially the fine details, being made in 1984. I have used a variety of telescopes over the years, from a 6" f/10 reflector (mirror by MAS member Steve Hodgkinson) to a Celestron C8 and currently have a fine Russian 6" Maksutov-Cassegrain and a Meade ETX 125 with computer control for deep sky observing
