Harpalus

2001 April 4th, 21:35 - 22:21 (U.T.)
Meade ETX 125mm MAK - CASS x209
Seeing: III-II
Transp: Good (Scattered cloud)
Earth's Sel Long: -0.4 deg.
Earth's Sel Lat: -5.1 deg.
Sun's Col: 46.47 - 46.85 deg
Sun's Lat: -1.51 deg. -0hrs 5th

Notes:
The main purpose of the observation was to try and observe the dome suspected in the region of situated SW of Sharp e and immediately west of Sharp A as observed by Daniel del Valle and appearing in the March 2001 issue of the BAA L.S. Circular.
I had noted that April 5th might be a suitable observing date; however I decided to attempt the region on the 4th as conditions were good.
There were a number of interesting features in the area of this Col. some of which were difficult to make out with certainty, and I suspected a couple of dome like objects SW of Foucault.

Harpalus Timing

The diagram above denotes times at which objects beyond the terminator came into view. The most interesting is that at the far south west of the drawing, which appeared at 22:14 U.T. - could this be the "dome" in question?
