I have been interested in astronomy as far back as I can remember and have had telescopes of varying quality since I was a child.
My joining the M.A.S. about 30 years ago opened up the opportunity to make my own optics and build bigger telescopes. This remains my first, but not only interest, since the telescope is only a tool to help astronomical observations.
Theoretical astronomy is also an interest but I struggle with the maths!
