I
was born in 1949 and after education at North Cestrian Grammar
School and the N. E. London Polytechnic, graduated in Zoology
in 1972. After spending some years at British Arkady Co.,
I went to Reading University and qualified with a P.G.C.E.
in 1981, permitting me to teach. I then taught Science and
Biology in Zimbabwe and Botswana, later teaching in Saudi
Arabia and the U.A.E., before returning to the UK in 2000.
(currently in UAE) I am a member of both the MAS and
Altrincham Astronomical Society, Cheshire. My main interests
in astronomy are variable stars and meteors. Accumulated 10,000
variable star observations in 1975, and have since lost count.
